One of the great things about the Internet is that you can quickly find information for practically everything. It has put an end to the age-old questions of "I wonder if" or "What is?".
Google is able to put a quick end to arguments on facts.
But the Internet is still a strange creature that can have people pay scads of cash for things that are also accessible for free, and that leaves me scratching my head. People (not me) still pay for porn over the Internet when you can find scads for free, or when it sometimes appears, uncalled for, and you just can't get rid of it.
I'm not writing to judge anybody, and whatever two or more consenting adults choose to do, safely, without hurting anybody else, is okay in my books.
I have a kid who sells pictures of her feet. There's nothing sexual in the images: they're just smartphone photos of her feet.
Bare or sometimes in high heels.
With or without nail polish.
Clean or, occasionally, in need of a wash.
She has set up a persona who lives in another country and posts the image through a VPN that can't be traced to her. She insists that her true self stays anonymous.
She's earned upwards of $300 per image. Once, a customer said he only had $50, so she sent him a photo of her big toe.
He paid.
The thought of this makes me wonder why anyone would pay for images of feet, when all you have to do is go on Google and have hundreds of images at your disposal.
I asked my daughter if she thought someone would pay big bucks for images of feet that are scarred from surgery. She said, "Probably."
I'm thinking about it.
For now, because you are faithful readers, I'll give you one, for free. If you want more, you're going to have to cough up, big-time.
My foot, one month after my reconstructive surgery. Stitches and all. |
