A Pandemic Canada Day

It will be the first Canada Day in a very long time that I am staying home. I won't be going downtown. I won't be joining throngs of people to help celebrate confederation.

Thanks a lot, pandemic.

I hope you're staying home, too, keeping a safe distance from your fellow Canadian. If you do have to go out, I hope you're wearing a mask and are washing your hands often, especially when you get back home.

We need to remain vigilant, so that next year, we can celebrate Canada Day together.
