Where In Ottawa LXI

Happy New Year!

I hope that 2017 brings you and your loved ones joy and prosperity. While 2016 came to most as a challenging year, let's hope that this one treats us all kindly.

In Canada, we have lots to cheer about. Our country turns 150 and there are lots of plans to celebrate from coast to coast. In Ottawa, we've already celebrated with a huge fireworks display at Parliament Hill. This year, more than ever, there is reason to visit our city, to get out and enjoy it.

And, with the beginning of a new month, I bring you the 61st installment of Where In Ottawa, where I present an image from somewhere in the city and you get to name the location.

Once again, the wonderful folks at loveOttawa have teamed up with me and are offering one of their snazzy 2017 t-shirts to whoever solves the Where In Ottawa challenge.

If you're new to this photo challenge or need a reminder, here are the rules:

Below, you will see a photo that I shot somewhere in the Ottawa area. Your job is to identify the location by leaving a guess in the Comments section of this blog post.

You must leave your guess only in this post to qualify. Because the comments are time-stamped, everyone who plays can see the date and time that an answer is submitted. If you try to guess by any other means, whether you're right or wrong, I won't respond to that guess and you can't win.

For every day that the challenge isn't solved, I'll leave a clue in the top-left corner of my blog. Above the This is Me section.

The first person to correctly identify the location wins the challenge and will receive the loveOttawa t-shirt. You can guess as many times as you like.

Ready for the challenge? Here you go...

Think you know Ottawa? Prove it!

    1. Nice try, Becky, but no, it's not at that intersection in New Edinburgh. Keep guessing!

    1. Good eye, Mike! I guess it helps to live in that end of town. Yes, indeed, the location is Quitters Coffee, in Stittsville. Congratulations!

(And I had such wonderful clues coming up!)

    2. Cool! Thanks Ross. Now I think I'll walk over to Quitters for Breakfast.

I hope you'll publish the rest of the clues.
