My Number 2 on Number 2

My Darling Daughter Number 2 is quick to criticize when I leave the bathroom.

 "DAD, YOU STINK!!!"

 It's not me, I calmly explain. It's what I left behind that stinks up the place.

 Last year, a commercial went viral on YouTube, and when my sweet little tot discovered it, she cried that we had to get some. And, when she saw some at our local Chapters-Indigo store, she actually spent some of her hard-earned allowance to bring some home.

 It's called Poo-Pourri. Here's the hilarious ad—don't shit yourself laughing.

It really works. I'm considering a bottle for every toilet in the house.

 Because, I'm not the only one who stinks up the place.

I walked into the room not knowing what to expect. I saw a post on Bluesky that shared a link to a gathering that was called The Writing Circle , which was held at the library that is in my part of Ottawa. The group met on the third Thursday of the month, at three o'clock. Except next month, when it meets on November 27. I first learned of this group in April, but because the family and I were preparing for our trip to Peru and I had other obligations on days when the group met, I decided I would wait until the group started again, if they did, indeed, start up again. Sometimes, It's Better to Seek Permission

I used to love the adage that it's sometimes easier to beg forgiveness than to seek permission. There are many things that I've done in life where I thought there were risks in performing them. If they worked out, great: if not, I hoped I'd be forgiven. Many years ago, I wrote about how a friend and I ran into each other while trying to photograph the same thing. We were looking to get night shots of a historic Ottawa building that was lit up with Christmas lights, only the premises was surrounded by an iron gate and fencing. When a car exited the grounds through the open gate, my friend and I snuck in and found a spot where we could capture better images . But we had to wait for someone else to open the gate before we could get out again. From a legal standpoint, we were trespassing. Improving My YouTube Channel

I've been looking at ways at improving my status on YouTube. I mean, I don't think I'm going to make outstanding videos that everyone is going to watch, or that I'll ever make money from my channel, but I think it would be nice to have at least a thousand subscribers. To that end, I've been watching videos from successful YouTubers who are sharing tips on what to do to gain subscribers and to improve the search-engine optimization (SEO) of my channel. Some are great tips and others I just plain question. For example, it's recommended by many YouTubers that when you upload a video, you don't make it available to the public immediately. As soon as you've uploaded your video, you should make it unlisted or even private for at least 24 hours to give the algorithms time to analyse your content so that it can direct it to a relevant audience.
